Though it’s not quite Christmas yet, I am constantly thinking about buying gifts. I’ve always been the sort of person who prefers to give than receive. That’s not to say that I don’t like receiving gifts – Moo can vouch for that – but I am always more worried about other people’s reactions. So that’s why I’ve started looking around for Christmas early. Now, this isn’t the start of my official Christmas guide, but it is a sneak peak into some items I think will be nice to give this Christmas.
My first item is from Chasing Beads. I was sent a tan and hot pink leather single wrap bracelet to review and I think it will be a lovely gift this Christmas.
My initial reaction when I saw the bracelet was that it did look exactly like the photo. The pink was bright and pearly, the leather was strong but retained the charm of handmade jewellery. And I think that’s the biggest key to this bracelet; it has a quaint, handcrafted feel to it which gives it its value.
Though it’s quite easy to go down to your local Claire’s or Primark to pick up a bracelet for a couple of quid, this will be something that you will wear every holiday you go on if not every day. It’s the perfect gift to give a niece in her teens or for your fun loving best friend who likes to have bright colours to perk up an outfit.
My only qualms with the bracelet is that I think I was sent the incorrect size. The bracelet was very large on me and could even be worn as an anklet on some – though I wouldn’t recommend it just incase you lose it. There are multiple sizes available so if you do have questions, don’t be afraid to ask them especially if their size guide does not help you.
My second issue is purely down to taste. I personally would have preferred a knotted leather clasp than a bead to give it a more boho feel but as I say, this is just my absolute personal taste.
Bracelets are always coming in and out of fashion. In my time I’ve worn cuffs, spikes, charms, tennis and every other kind of bracelet that you can think of. A lot of the Chasing Beads collection follows the current trend but there are a few pieces that are timeless and would make ideal presents for anyone of any age and with all types of jewellery to chose from, there’s bound to be something that takes your fancy.
If you spend over £35, you get free delivery which I would recommend taking full advantage of as the £4.50 charge is fairly steep compared to some of the items. The bracelet I was sent is retailed at £18.50 but there are items of at all price ranges so it will be easy to build a basket full of items for your loved ones and get free delivery.
Why not head to their website now to have a look and see if there’s anything that takes your fancy and remember to order early to ensure it arrives before Christmas day.
Disclaimer: This item was gifted to me for my honest review. I have used promotional images as my photos did not do this piece justice.
