If you know me, you’ll know I love nail polish. I thought it was about time I did another nail polish haul for you but this time, it’s a bit smaller than usual. i’ve recorded a wee video to show you all the polishes so if you want to have a quick peek, just click play.
The Amazing Spider-Man OPI mini collection
I spotted this on Buyapowa and I fell in love. When I got it home I was divided. I generally don’t like the OPI mini collections because inevitably there will be a colour I hate and there’s very little polish in the bottles. The four colours in this collection are: Your Web or Mine?, Number One Nemesis, Just Spotted the Lizard! and Into the Night. Your Web or Mine? is a dusky, shimmery pink that I’m not impressed with. I’ve got a very similar colour from OPI and I’m don’t really know why it’s been included in this collection. Number One Nemesis is a smokey charcoal grey with gold glitter running through it. It’s a nice enough colour but it reminds me of China Glaze’s Stone Cold and it just doesn’t feel special. Just Spotted the Lizard! is, quite simply, a Peridot dupe with more of a blue edge. Into the Night is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful metallic blue that just looks special and beautiful on the nail. I can’t wait to purchase it in full size.
My fiancé brought home two polishes from the States: Riveting and I’m with the Lifeguard. Riveting is from the Hunger Games collection and it’s a wonderful, vivid orange packed with gold and orange glitter. I’m with the Lifeguard is a bright, vivacious neon green with a pearly white shimmer giving it a nice finish most neons are lacking. I’m very much looking forward to using both.
So on the video I did pronounce the name wrong but meh, what you gonna do? I purchased two polishes that everyone has bought this month: Jelly Bean and Purple Sherbet. Both are free with Marie Claine with a third available. I am particularly excited about Jelly Bean just because it matches many of my new lipsticks.
I have bought a few Barry M’s this month. With their 30th anniversary, a whole range of new polishes have been released including a rather delightful promotion. The first set that I’ve bought is the Chameleon collection. I have bought all three and will do a video on them shortly. I have also purchased the new Copper polish which is a very dense fine glitter polish full of glitter in all shades of brown. The afore mentioned promotion is a dangerous one: spend £6 on Barry M cosmetics and get a free Retro Nail Pot. I have two so far: blue and red. There are four in total and they’re all metallic and shimmery and wonderful.
So that’s it. A lot less than usual but enough for now…
Oh and sorry about the video, my lighting is awful and my hair… my hair.
