If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know that my fiancĂ© released his first indie iOS game, Ring Fling, last week. It’s a fun and simple game to play with your friends and family. All you have to do is fling rings at the jaggies and try to get them in your opponents’ zones. It’s fast paced, bright and can bring out the competitive side in anyone. To celebrate this (and because my Beat Sneak Bandit nail art was brought to his attention again yesterday) I have taken the time today to do some Ring Fling nail art.
I won’t go through all the details of how I did it because a lot of it was just drawing but I will tell you what I used. I also apologise that my cuticles are still covered in polish.
So I did it a little bit differently this time. I usually paint a base colour and then paint detail. This time, I painted my nails with the object colours as a base.
I then used a black nail art pen/striper to draw the shapes and fill in the black background. This was surprising easy and I would recommend giving it a go.
To make the swoosh lines, I used scotch tape and a makeup sponge to create very straight lines and control the fading gradient.
The final detail on the logo was the white sparks. I made it really simple and used a toothpick and a steady hand to stipple on the detail.
Like always I used a base coat and I used Seche Vita’s Dry Fast Topcoat to seal in the design.

So what do you think? Are you going to give Ring Fling a go?
