What a glorious Monday. The sun is shining, the sky is (mostly) blue and I have had the most wonderful weekend. I apologise for my absence over the weekend but I think you’ll understand it by the end of this post. A life changing event that I’ve been waiting for for a long time happened bright and early on Saturday morning and it’s been a haze of happiness, drinking champagne, seeing my family, buying magazines, talking dates and everything in between. If you haven’t already guessed from the title of the post and the pictures, I got engaged!
On Saturday morning my lovely boyfriend (now fiancé – I can’t get used to that) made me breakfast in bed and presented me with a beautiful ring. Apparently he’s been trying to do it all week but I’ve been ruining it but it was perfect and I couldn’t be happier. After posting it on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram we received floods of congratulations and questions and love. We went for lunch with my parents and ended up spending all day with them and then we went for lunch with all of my family yesterday. It has been a great weekend and I have loved every second of it.
Now comes the hard part. We, more I, have to organise the thing. We’ve semi decided on a date so we’re one step closer with themes etc but there’s so much to do and so much that can be done that it’s hard to know where to start. This is where you guys come in. You may have noticed that there has been a bit of restructuring with the little boxes and there is now a Bride Box. I will be using the Bride Box to help me track my ideas, make mood boards and just generally help me get my life in order and hopefully get some ideas and opinions from you guys.
I’m so excited for the bride posts! When is your provisional date? Massive congratulations, again – I’m so happy for you.
Thank you! I’m going to be setting up a tumblr for picture posts etc too. We’re thinking mid to late August 2013. It’s funny how soon that feels now.
You’ll be amazed at how quickly the time flies too… I feel like I only just got engaged but it’s been four months already. Yikes.
I had a look at some to do lists and it terrified me. I guess I should start looking at venues =s.

SO happy for you!! My only advice is try not to take the wedding that seriously and don’t let it become all encompassing so you end up yelling at each other. Congrats, congrats congrats!
Thank you my dear! I’ve made two decisions so far and one is to do with cake toppers – yep, that’s how focused I am. I think I’m going to get my dress in the States (from what I can tell so far) so I’ll be stopping by to say hello soon enough!
