I have been a naughty girl. I have been spending a lot of money recently and I promised I wouldn’t. But it’s not my fault! It’s been bought online and that doesn’t count right? Well, in my little online spree I have bought TWO lots of ELF goodies. So if you haven’t already guessed this is a haul post but I’ll do a quick round up of a couple of the things I’ve tried.
Nail Polish: 1556 Mint Cream
I’ve heard great things about the polish and I thought it would be a great addition to my reasonably priced collection. I don’t have any mint colours but I thought it was about time I did.
Hypershine Lipgloss: 9020 Berry Cherry
I can’t say anything other than I’m lip obsessed at the moment.
Brightening Eye Color: 2012 Hazy Hazel
Green eyes need purples and warm browns – HELLO!
Liquid Eyeshadow: 7408 Mocha Madness
I love how bronzy and shimmery this liquid eyeshadow is. It goes onto the skin really nicely but you have to blend it really well otherwise it starts flaking.
Cream Eyeliner: 81155 Metallic Olive and 81158 Plum Purple
I am so excited about these. The colours are beautiful.
Eyebrow Kit: 81304 Ash Powder
I have really light eyebrows so brow makeup is a new must for me. I got Ash Powder because I am really fair and so far I like it. I’ve only used the powder thus far but what I can tell you is that the powder is really fine and easy to apply and the shade is pretty much perfect for me but it is very light.
Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara: 2201 Crystal
I’ve used the brow mascara and it works like a dream. I find that if you apply it and then use a brow brush to remove excess and attain even coverage it works best. I love it.
Eyebrow Lifter and Filler: 81601 Ivory/Light
This is a great all-in-one brow pencil. Both ends are really soft and easy to apply and they last. The Ivory is a little pinker than I was expecting but it still works a dream.
Liquid Eyeliner: 4210 Copper
This is a lot different than I was expecting. It’s really glittery and not the liquid gold I was hoping for. But for £1.50 I can’t argue.
Eye Widener: 1712 White
The pearly white looks like exactly what I need. I have big-ish eyes anyway but I just wanted something extra to make them pop (the glasses hide them a lot) so I can’t wait to try this.
Eye Primer and Liner Sealer
I can’t remember what colour I bought this in (if there’s a choice) and I can’t find it on the website but the primer is a lovely, solid stick and the product blends really nicely and I can’t wait to try the sealer with some loose eyeshadow powder.
Eyebrow Stencil Kit
I have ok brows but it’s always nice to have more options. This kit comes with four looks and they’re really easy to use with powder or if you use a pencil to outline the brows before plucking.
Tone Correcting Concealer: 4005 Ivory
This is a pretty thin concealer but when I used it, it worked pretty well. It has a really nice fresh orange scent too so it’s a pleasure to use.
High Definition Powder
A great finishing powder that gives you a really soft look. I’ve only used it once so far but I was pretty please with it.
Brushes: 1808, 1823, 1824, 1802, 84005, 85011
I’ve only used a couple of them but so far I’m really impressed. They’re so reasonably priced too. There’s been a tiny bit of shedding but I’ve bought much more expensive brushes that have had a lot more loss so I’m a happy bunny.
So there we have it. Two orders and 21 products for, I think, around £45. I’ve got enough here to last me a while and curb my spending so I’m looking at it all as spending money to save money.
I have been really impressed with turn around times and the fact that it’s actually really good quality for a tiny price.
Please let me know what items you want proper reviews on. I know a couple I’d like to focus on but I’d like to hear from you.
