30 Days of Christmas Shopping: Day 19, Bookmarks

Happy 12th December! Today not only marks the short 13 days until Christmas but also the fact that it’s my birthday in one month. Mark it in your diaries everyone! Today’s gift idea is simple, practical, cheap (most of the time) and a bit of a classic.

Bookmarks

I love a good book. I love a bad book. I think it’s more that I love reading than anything else. However, I very rarely ask for books as a gift because I usually get too excited and buy it for myself. And if I don’t enjoy the book I don’t want to blame the person who bought it for me. So with that in mind the next step for me is a lovely bookmark.

Bookmarks are eternal. They travel with us, they carry the stories we’ve read with them and they last forever.

I have chosen a selection from Not on the High Street as examples but I’m sure you can find something beautiful, fun and significant by looking around.

Rice Monster Characters Bookmark - £3.95

A pack of five really cute monster characters in a portable pack bound to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Personalised Whale Bookmark – £8

A lovely personalised bookmark where you can choose between a blue or pink whale and add the recipient’s name.

Fabric Covered Button Bookmark – £8.99

A really simple, cute design that makes a great stocking filler.

Sterling Silver Bookmark – £55

Beautiful, simple and elegant. These bookmarks are made from sterling silver and come in a choice of three designs.

Everywhere sells bookmarks and there are millions of designs, styles and types out there. It may not seem like a lot but choose the right one and you’re bound to be onto a winner.
