Only 29 days of shopping left before Christmas and number two on my list leans slightly more towards the masculine side.
BrewDog Craft Beer
Craft beer is the new tipple of choice all over the world. I must admit, I used to hate beer and think it was formed of the Devil’s waste but after trying a couple carefully selected ales I am happy to say that I actually quite enjoy them now.
One company that has impressed me, not just with their inventiveness and quality but also in their attempts to inject a bit of fun as well as keeping a high standard is BrewDog. The Scottish brewery not only offers a great selection of beer that would make any lager drinker change their mind about picking up that next can of Stella but they’ve got some great gift ideas too.
BrewDog launched a share scheme called Equity for Punks earlier this year. The scheme allows you to buy shares in the company using a simple ecommerce website (or over the bar at one of their establishments) without the interference of those city type people. Shareholders benefit from discounts online and in bars, have a say in the beer and are free to sell their shares in 2013. The price starts at £95 but it really is the gift that keeps on giving. If you want to find out more, you can do so on BrewDog’s website.
If you’re more interested in the beer than the shares (I know my Dad would be) then why not get some personalised beers for that special someone? Punk Dog allows you to edit: the text, add a photo, pick the colour of your label and pick the beer! Not the cheapest beer in the world at £19.99 for a pack of six or £26.99 for a pack of 12 but it is delicious and it will be really appreciated. It adds a lovely personal touch to a present that could be forgotten on Boxing Day otherwise. These do take about two weeks to arrive so if you were thinking about ordering a pack head to their website and do it now!
So there we have it. Two great gift ideas from one beer company. They’re a really fun company to keep an eye on too so why don’t you follow them on Twitter and see what they have planned next?
